HAY CREEK HERITAGE FARMS
AT ROBIN HILLS FARM

In 2019 Robin Hills Farm began collaborating with Hay Creek Heritage Farms, a small farm in Pinckney dedicated to conserving and promoting rare heritage livestock breeds and heirloom vegetables.  Since Hay Creek began operating at Robin Hills, owners Nate and Nicole Oswald have grown hundreds of thousands of pounds of certified organic produce right here in Chelsea.  That produce has been distributed to more than 70 households and several businesses across multiple counties.  They continue to grow countless more pounds at their home farm in Pinckney on the banks of Hay Creek.  Their farm has been a vibrant part of the local food community for more than 12 years.

Now, Hay Creek is expanding its herd of sheep and goats at Robin Hills and we are excited to continue to showcase their products and help promote their vision of sustainable farming methods.  All of Hay Creek's animals are raised with care, and they offer organic produce and cut flowers, certified by OEFFA, through their CSA membership and for sale on their website.  You can currently find their produce, eggs, and flowers at Eastern Market in Detroit on Saturdays.

Hay Creek Heritage Farms will have whole lambs for sale for the 2023 season and are taking reservations now.  Please reach out directly for pricing and information.

To learn more about Hay Creek Heritage Farms, check out their website or read about them here on the Robin Hills Farm blog.

In addition to offering field trips, Robin Hills Farm collaborates with several educational organizations as part of our "Camp Corner."

  • For younger children ages 3-7, we work with Muddy Boots, a Forest School program dedicated to enriching children's lives by curating purposeful outdoor adventures. They believe that being immersed in nature allows children to thrive while building positive connections with themselves, their peers, and their surroundings. Learn more and sign up here.
